The first mention of Da Pianca as a furniture maker dates back to the 16th Century. In 1946, Pianca began creating modern wood furniture in Gaiarine, Italy. Even Amazon visited the contemporary manufacturing plant to study its innovative packaging: cardboard, plastic, and polystyrene. Pianca participated in the 19th Annual Architecture + the City Festival showcasing its walk-in closets, upholstered wall panels and boiserie.
